Effective from: 4 October 2026 · Version: 1.0
In short — HeyJoinMe is a ticketing platform. Every event on it is organised and run by its organiser, not by us. When you book, your contract for the event is with the organiser, who is responsible for the event and its refund policy. Payments are processed by our payment gateway, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator; we never see your card or UPI details. Your QR code is your ticket, so keep it private. This summary does not replace the terms below.
This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and does not need a physical or digital signature. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
1. About these terms
1.1 HeyJoinMe is a brand of Softagone Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 ("HeyJoinMe", "we", "us", "our").
1.2 These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the HeyJoinMe website at heyjoin.me and its sub-domains; the event pages we host for organisers, including on an organiser's own sub-domain or domain; HeyJoinMe Pass and HeyJoinMe Passport; our WhatsApp and email services; and any related app or service (together, the "Platform").
1.3 By browsing the Platform, signing in, booking or registering for an event, or using a ticket issued through the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy, which form part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1.4 Each event may have its own terms set by its organiser — for example entry rules, age limits, a dress code or a refund policy. They are shown on the event page or at booking and apply to your booking. Where an organiser's terms conflict with these Terms about how the Platform works, these Terms prevail.
1.5 Organisers who list events on the Platform are also bound by our Terms of Operation.
2. Who can use the Platform
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to sign in or make a booking.
2.2 A parent or lawful guardian may book for a person under 18 and provide their details, and is responsible for that person's attendance and conduct, and for meeting the organiser's age rules.
2.3 If you book for, or give the details of, other people — friends, family or colleagues — you confirm that you are authorised to do so and to share their details for the booking.
3. Our role: a platform, not the organiser
3.1 HeyJoinMe provides a technology platform through which independent organisers list events and sell tickets, passes and registrations, and through which you discover and book them. For the purposes of Indian law we are an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and a marketplace e-commerce entity under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
3.2 We do not organise, produce, host, manage or control the events listed on the Platform, and we do not own or sell tickets on our own account, unless an event page expressly names HeyJoinMe as the organiser. The organiser named on the event page sells the tickets and provides the event, and the contract for the event is between you and that organiser.
3.3 The organiser alone is responsible for the event, including:
- the accuracy of the event page, and the price, taxes and inclusions of each ticket;
- every licence, permission and clearance the event needs;
- the venue, safety, security, crowd management and facilities;
- the performance of artists, speakers and other participants;
- the conduct of its staff, volunteers and contractors;
- entry rules and decisions at the gate;
- any change, postponement or cancellation; and
- refunds under its policy and applicable law.
3.4 Event pages — descriptions, images, line-ups, schedules, prices and policies — are provided by organisers. We may review an event before it appears on the Platform, but we do not verify every statement in it, and listing an event is not an endorsement of the event or its organiser.
3.5 The organiser's name and contact details are shown on the event page. If you cannot reach an organiser, contact us and we will help (see section 18).
3.6 How events are shown. Events are listed mainly by the city you choose, the event date, the category and search words you use, and whether booking is open. Some events are chosen by us for featured positions. If an organiser pays for a placement, we will label it as promoted.
4. Your account and sign-in
4.1 You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code that we send on WhatsApp, or by email to the address on your booking if WhatsApp delivery fails. There is no password. One sign-in shows every ticket booked with that number, from every organiser. Some registration pages instead verify your number with a code from our verification provider, MSG91, which may arrive by SMS.
4.2 You are responsible for keeping your mobile number, WhatsApp and email secure. Anyone who can receive your one-time codes can see and use your tickets. Tell us at once if you suspect someone else has access.
4.3 You must give accurate details, must not use a mobile number or email address you are not entitled to use, and must not impersonate anyone.
5. Booking tickets
5.1 A ticket — including a pass, registration, seat or entry — is a personal, revocable licence to attend the event on the terms of the organiser and these Terms.
5.2 Prices are set by the organiser and shown in Indian Rupees. The total you pay is shown before you pay. We do not add a convenience or booking fee to the price shown. Taxes, where applicable, are as shown at checkout.
5.3 While you complete a booking, the tickets or seats in it are held for a limited time. If payment is not completed in that time, they are released and the booking lapses.
5.4 A booking is confirmed only when your payment succeeds and we issue your ticket or booking confirmation. Money leaving your account does not by itself mean a booking is confirmed (see 6.7).
5.5 Organisers may limit how many tickets one person or order can buy, restrict sales to invited guests, members or a guest list, or ask you to verify your mobile number. Bookings that get around these limits may be cancelled.
5.6 Promo codes, offers and early-bird or group prices are set by organisers on their own conditions. They have no cash value, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be withdrawn. A booking that misuses an offer may be cancelled.
5.7 If a ticket is listed at an obviously wrong price because of a technical or typing error, the organiser or HeyJoinMe may cancel the booking and refund the amount paid in full.
5.8 Attendee details. Some organisers need the name and other details of each attendee before tickets are issued. You must give accurate details. Until they are given, QR codes may not be issued and we may remind you on WhatsApp. The organiser decides what it asks for and is responsible for how it uses the answers.
5.9 Free registrations are bookings too: these Terms apply to them, apart from the parts about payment.
6. Payments
6.1 Online payments on the Platform are processed by our payment gateway, a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. Unless the checkout shows that an organiser uses its own payment gateway account, your payment is made to the payment gateway merchant account of Softagone Technologies LLP, which operates HeyJoinMe.
6.2 You can pay by the methods the payment gateway offers at checkout, such as UPI, debit and credit cards and net banking. Payment details are entered on the payment gateway's secure checkout: we do not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking credentials. Your payment is also subject to the payment gateway's terms and privacy policy, and to the terms of your bank or payment app.
6.3 You pay the price shown. HeyJoinMe does not add a convenience fee, booking fee or payment charge on top of the organiser's price; our fee is paid by the organiser. If an event asks for a refundable deposit, it is shown as a separate line before you pay (see our Cancellation & Refund Policy).
6.4 How your money reaches the organiser. The price of a ticket belongs to the organiser. HeyJoinMe receives it through the payment gateway only as the organiser's limited agent for collecting payment, and passes it on to the organiser, less HeyJoinMe's fee — either by the payment gateway settling it directly to the organiser's own account, or by HeyJoinMe paying it on. Once your payment is confirmed, you have paid the organiser, and it may not ask you to pay again for the same booking.
6.5 The collection, holding, settlement and refund of payments is carried out by the payment gateway and the banks under the rules of the Reserve Bank of India. HeyJoinMe is not a bank or a payment system operator, and is not responsible for delays or decisions of the payment gateway, banks or card networks.
6.6 Where an event's checkout shows that the organiser uses its own payment gateway account, your payment goes directly to the organiser, which is solely responsible for it, including any refund.
6.7 Failed and late payments. If money leaves your account but the payment fails, your bank or the payment gateway reverses it, usually within 5 to 7 working days. If a payment reaches us after your booking has lapsed, or a booking cannot be confirmed for any other reason, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method.
6.8 The payment may appear on your statement under the name HeyJoinMe, Softagone Technologies or the name of our payment gateway. Your payment receipt is issued on behalf of the organiser; any tax invoice for a ticket is the organiser's responsibility.
6.9 Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. If a payment is disputed for a booking that was validly made and delivered, the organiser and HeyJoinMe may contest the dispute and share booking and entry records with the bank, and tickets under dispute may be suspended.
6.10 HeyJoinMe Passport. Points and tiers in HeyJoinMe Passport recognise the events you attend. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and may be changed or withdrawn.
7. Delivery of tickets
7.1 Tickets are electronic. As soon as your payment is confirmed — or, where the organiser needs attendee details, as soon as those details are submitted — we send your tickets with their QR codes to the WhatsApp number given at booking, and to the email address if you gave one. You can also see them at any time in My tickets. Nothing is shipped physically.
7.2 We are not responsible for a message that does not arrive because of an incorrect number or email address, a number that is not on WhatsApp, your own settings, or a failure at WhatsApp, an email provider or a telecom network. Your tickets remain available in My tickets.
8. Entry and conduct at events
8.1 Your QR code is your ticket. Each QR code admits the number of people shown on it, once, unless the organiser states otherwise (for example for a multi-day pass). The first valid scan is admitted. Do not share or post your QR code: neither we nor the organiser is responsible if someone else uses it first.
8.2 The organiser, the venue and their security staff may refuse entry to anyone, or remove them, including where:
- the ticket is invalid, duplicated, cancelled, refunded, already used, or transferred in breach of these Terms;
- the person does not meet the age, identity, membership, dress code or other entry conditions;
- the person is intoxicated, carries a prohibited item, refuses a security check, or behaves in an unsafe, abusive or unlawful way; or
- capacity, safety or a direction of the authorities requires it.
Whether a refund is due in these cases is decided by the organiser's policy.
8.3 You must follow the rules of the organiser and the venue, applicable law, and the instructions of staff and the authorities. Events can involve crowds, loud sound, lights, physical activity and outdoor conditions; please attend responsibly and look after your belongings.
8.4 Organisers may photograph, film or record their events, and you may appear in what they record. Questions about its use should go to the organiser.
9. Transfers and resale
9.1 A ticket can be transferred only where the organiser allows it, and only through the transfer option on the Platform. Once a ticket is transferred, its original QR code stops working and the recipient receives a new one.
9.2 You must not resell tickets commercially or for more than you paid, or offer them through touts or unauthorised sellers or websites. Tickets resold or transferred in breach of this section may be cancelled without refund, and their holders refused entry.
9.3 We cannot verify, and do not support, tickets obtained from anyone other than through the Platform.
10. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Our Cancellation & Refund Policy explains what happens if you cannot attend, if an event is cancelled or rescheduled, and how and when refunds are paid. In short: refunds follow the organiser's policy shown on the event page and applicable law; if an event is cancelled, the ticket price is refunded; and refunds go back to the original payment method through the payment gateway.
11. Messages we send
11.1 By booking or signing in, you agree that we and the organiser may send you the messages your booking needs — one-time codes, tickets, booking and payment confirmations, reminders to finish a payment or complete attendee details, event reminders, updates and changes, refund updates, and a thank-you after the event — on WhatsApp, by email and on the Platform.
11.2 Promotional messages are sent only where you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by blocking the sender on WhatsApp or by contacting us.
11.3 WhatsApp is a service of Meta Platforms, and your use of it is subject to WhatsApp's own terms.
11.4 You agree that agreements, notices and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
12. Acceptable use
12.1 You must not:
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to search, book, hold or buy tickets, or to get around purchase limits, holds, invitations or verification;
- buy tickets for unauthorised resale;
- access, or try to access, another person's account, bookings or tickets, or any data you are not authorised to see;
- scrape, copy, frame or mirror the Platform or its content for any commercial purpose without our written permission;
- probe or test the Platform's security, interfere with its working, or introduce malware;
- reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Platform, except as the law permits;
- commit fraud — including using a payment instrument you are not authorised to use, or making false refund claims or chargebacks;
- harass, threaten or abuse organisers, their staff, other users or our team; or
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity, age, membership or eligibility.
12.2 Information you submit. In anything you submit through the Platform — names, answers to an organiser's questions, messages, feedback or images — you must not host, display, upload, publish, transmit or share information that:
- (a) belongs to another person and to which you have no right;
- (b) is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or promotes enmity between groups on grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- (c) is harmful to children;
- (d) infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- (e) deceives or misleads about its origin, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false, untrue or misleading;
- (f) impersonates another person, including through synthetically generated (AI-created or AI-altered) audio, images or video;
- (g) threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States or public order, incites the commission of any cognisable offence, prevents the investigation of any offence, or insults another nation;
- (h) contains a software virus or any other code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
- (i) promotes online money games, betting or gambling prohibited by law; or
- (j) violates any law for the time being in force.
12.3 If you breach this section we may remove the information, suspend or end your access, cancel affected bookings, preserve records and report the matter to the authorities, as the law requires.
13. Intellectual property
13.1 The Platform — its software, design, text and graphics — and the HeyJoinMe name and logo belong to Softagone Technologies LLP or its licensors. You may use the Platform only for your own, non-commercial use to discover and book events.
13.2 Event names, posters, images, logos and other event content belong to the organisers or their licensors, who are responsible for them.
13.3 If you believe something on the Platform infringes your rights, write to our Grievance Officer (section 18) with details of the content, the right you hold and your contact details, and we will act in accordance with law.
14. Third-party services
The Platform relies on services we do not control, including the payment gateway, WhatsApp and Meta, email providers, telecom networks, and organisers' own websites and venues. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions or availability.
15. Suspension and cancellation
15.1 We may suspend or end your access to the Platform, and cancel bookings, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the law, where a court or government authority requires it, or to protect users, organisers or the Platform. If we cancel a booking for a reason that is not your fault, the amount paid for it is refunded.
15.2 You may stop using the Platform at any time. To close your account, contact us. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires (see our Privacy Policy).
16. Our liability
16.1 We provide the Platform "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it available, secure and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every message will be delivered.
16.2 Because organisers run their events, HeyJoinMe is not liable for the content, quality or safety of an event; for any change, postponement or cancellation; for the acts or omissions of organisers, artists, venues, their staff or other attendees; for refusal of entry; or for injury, loss or damage at or in connection with an event. Claims about these lie against the organiser. We will give you reasonable help, including the organiser's details and the booking records we hold.
16.3 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity, or travel and accommodation costs.
16.4 To the extent the law permits, HeyJoinMe's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with a booking is limited to the service fee HeyJoinMe retained on that booking, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher.
16.5 Neither we nor the organiser is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics, fire, flood, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, orders of the government or authorities, or failures of power, internet, telecom, payment networks or third-party platforms. If an event is cancelled for such a reason, any refund is governed by the organiser's policy and applicable law.
16.6 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability for fraud.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify HeyJoinMe, Softagone Technologies LLP and its partners, employees and agents against claims, losses, penalties and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any law or of anyone's rights.
18. Grievance redressal
18.1 Grievance Officer: Softagone Technologies LLP · Email: [email protected] · Phone: +91 94846 37910 · Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm IST
18.2 We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and give it a reference number. Complaints about content on the Platform are resolved within 7 days, and requests to remove content of a kind listed in 12.2 within 36 hours. Complaints about bookings, payments and refunds are resolved within one month, and usually much sooner.
18.3 If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's decision on a complaint about content or about your use of the Platform, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee constituted by the Government of India (gac.gov.in) within 30 days of receiving the decision.
19. Governing law and disputes
19.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
19.2 Before starting any formal proceeding, please write to us (section 18) so that we can try to resolve the matter.
19.3 Subject to 19.4, the courts at Jamnagar, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform.
19.4 Nothing in this section affects your right to approach a Consumer Commission or any other forum available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Platform or to the law. The updated Terms will be published here with a new effective date, and where a change is material we will tell you on the Platform, by email or on WhatsApp. A booking is governed by the Terms in force when it was made. Using the Platform after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
21. General
21.1 If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
21.2 If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it.
21.3 You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or to a successor to the Platform.
21.4 These Terms, with the documents they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Platform.
21.5 These Terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version prevails.
21.6 Sections 6, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19 and 21 continue to apply after you stop using the Platform.
